Groups are separately learning to use and optimize these instruments but, to date, have not effectively shared their experience and knowledge. The Cross- Disciplinary Remote Instrumentation Working Group's primary goal is to provide a forum through which these discussions can take place. Mission The proposed mission of the Remote Instrumentation Working Group is to: 1. Establish a community who create and use remote instruments. 2. Provide a forum through which knowledge can be shared. 3. Identify areas in which the community at large can benefit from shared work. Introduction
