2 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING on co-operation in the field of energy between the EU and Ukraine, 01.12.2005 Ukraine is a key transit country for hydrocarbon's supplies to the EU with 40% of the EU's imports of natural gas transiting through the Ukrainian network Both sides resolve to co-operate in roadmaps covering the following four specific areas: III. Enhancing the security of energy supplies and the transit of hydrocarbons.

GUIDELINES Adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to substantive provisions of EU legislation which regulates relations in the gas market, in particular to the Directive №2003/55/EC Realization of the Brussels Declaration signed by Ukraine and EU with participation of banks Joining to Energy Community Treaty and we need Joint establishment of European Initiative of Gas Transparency (EIGT) as a mechanism of gas conflict prevention
