We can identify with all these characters, if not so munch with their fame, then at least with their failings.

Gods blessing was a new name: “Israel”: The one who wrestled with God Jacob’s life was filled with sorrow: Loss of his wife, failure of his family, tragedy with his only daughter, Loss of his beloved son Joseph.
