How would you ask a classmate about interests, using the verbs spielen, machen, schwimmen, and sammeln?
Remember- Use the familiar form of you ( du) when asking a friend.

Ich spiele gern Fußball. Ich spiel nicht gern Golf. Remember that gern and nicht gern follow the verb.
How would you ask a classmate what he or she likes to do and report that information to someone else?
Was machst du gern? Er spielt die Gitarre. Sie spielt das Klavier.
How would you ask Katharina and Ute what they like to do and report what they say? Use casual speech with two friends. The plural familiar form of you (yall) is ihr.
Was macht ihr gern? Sie (they) schwimmen, spielen Schach, und hören Musik.
How would you ask your teacher if he or she plays basketball or chess, or If she collects stamps?
You would probably use formal speech. you, polite = Sie. The Sie form of the verb is en.
How would you say that you watch TV after school? Verb is in the second position!
How would you say that you play soccer in the afternoon? Ich spiele am Nachmittag Fußball. or Am Nachmittag, spiele ich Fußball. Verb 2nd
How would you ask a classmate what he or she thinks of tennis ?
Agree with the following statement: Schach ist langweilig. Stimmt, das finde ich auch!
Disagree with the following statement: Briefmarken sammeln ist interessant. Das finde ich nicht, Briefmarken sammeln ist langweilig!
