3 Who is Jan Brett?  She was born in Hingham, Massachusetts and lives in Norwell, Massachusetts today.  Jan Brett enjoys writing in the mountains, and it takes her about 1 year to write a book.  When she was 6 years old she knew she wanted to illustrate books because she loved to draw.  She likes to take old folktales and make them into books.  Jan Brett illustrates her own books.  She likes to travel and loves animals!  You can read about Jan Brett in her Biography.
