4 Day 1 Round Table “Consular Support and Assistance” Contributions Consular support, consular assistance and consular protection. National legislation. EU and the consular protection in third countries. Good practices on EU and on bilateral level. Representation agreements for consular protection. Relation to third countries : Experience of the EU member states to provide consular protection on behalf of another state. Registering personal data. Personal data protection versus consular protection ? Coordination between the central authorities and local consular cooperation. Exchange of information and cooperation during major crises involving several countries from the Danube Region ?

5 Day 1 Round Table “Consular Support and Assistance” for ? Cooperation for consular protection and crisis management ? Challenges in times of crisis are more or less similar for all consulates. 1. Danube Region Consular Cooperation? Exchange of personal data, inquiries and alerts on consular issues between Danube Region States and/or experience and information. Consular network ? EU experience (CoOL) Contacts (24 / 7)? 2. Pool of leading experts and/or Joint Crisis Task Force on emergency situations like hostage-taking, natural disasters, environmental accidents, political unrests, terrorist attacks etcetera. Training and advanced training of joint and/or national teams and/or national experts
