Finish Declaration Questions and Share Journal #6—Aphorisms and Virtues (20) 1.Aphorism a. Definition: a brief statement, usually one sentence long, that expresses a general principle or truth about life b. Read the aphorisms in Ben Franklin’s Poor Richard’s Almanack—pg. 275 c. Make a list of other aphorisms you know 2.Virtue a. Definition: is moral excellence. A virtue is a positive trait or quality deemed to be morally good and thus is valued as a foundation of principle and good moral being. Personal virtues are characteristics valued as promoting collective and individual greatness. b. Make a list of virtues that are important to you

You have to catch it yourself. –Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain - and most fools do. –Do not fear mistakes. You will know failure. Continue to reach out. –Being ignorant is not so much a shame, as being unwilling to learn. –Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness.
