1 1 FFP LOCAL JOBS PROGRAM INITIATIVE AND CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES The following information provides a status update on FFP’s Jobs Program including outreach and contracting and subcontracting opportunities for DBE firms, small-sized businesses (including M/WBEs) and construction jobs for local residents.

2 2 FFP anticipates that there will be 250 construction jobs for the Expo LRT project. FFP’s Construction Jobs Program goal is to hire 30% of craft personnel from within the Expo Corridor, which would be approximately 75 jobs. In order to facilitate achieving this goal we have: Initiated contact with various Community Based Organizations and non-profits to provide information about the Local Jobs Program. Participated in the following construction career fairs, community meetings and vendor outreach expos: Alameda Corridor Jobs Coalition CalCon Jobs Fair CalTrans Minority Vendor Fair Century Housing Corporation Chrysalis Construction Career Forum w/McCarthy Building Companies & ICO Development Housing Authority-City of Los Angeles National Association of Minority Contractors PVJobs Urban League West Angeles EDC

3 3 Contractor Jobs Program Outreach - September Hired four (4) construction workers from within the Expo Corridor. Hired two (2) laborers from the at-risk population who reside within the Expo Corridor. As a part of FFP’s “job-readiness” commitment, sponsored three (3) laborers into Local Union 300. These are jobs at prevailing wages with benefits. Established a “call out” system with the Unions for members from within Expo Corridor zip codes. Established relationships with other contractors for placement of craft personnel that have completed training and/or pre- apprenticeship programs through Expo’s designated community- based organizations for local and regional jobs.
