INTRODUCTION  Zakat is a certain amount of property owned by an individual and must be issued by a muslim  Help those in need to ease their burden  However, by giving zakat is able to encourage individuals to receive zakat to rely on charity only so do not try to change their lives with their efforts

3. Those eligible to receive zakat I. Fakir  The poor are people who hardly have any  thus being unable to meet their basic needs. II. poor  The group that is classified as poor are individuals who have wealth but not enough to meet all the requirements for life. III. Mu'allaf  These people are among those who have just entered the religion of Islam and need help to adjust to their new situation IV. Gharimin  Gharimin group are individuals who have debts to meet the dietary requirements and can not afford to pay it.

4. Types of zakat There are several types or categories of zakat fitrah and zakat zakat maal or wealth. 1. Zakat Fitr  Zakat is an obligatory nature which must be issued by an individual who is capable and Moslems during Eid eve of the holy month of Ramadan. 2. Zakat Maal ( property )  Zakat maal or wealth is the kind of charity that are issued by a muslim who account for the revenues derived from business, farm products, marine products, livestock and so on.

5.
