2 Why do I have to do this?! Give credit where credit is due. Helps others see your resources in case they want to investigate the same topic. It ’ s ethical, and ultimately it ’ s the only way to LEGALLY include someone else ’ s ideas in your work.

3 Easybib.com (for online resources)

4 Fill in what you can gather from the website. Easybib does the rest.

5 Easybib will automatically send you to its manual input page if it can’t automatically cite something. Fill in as much as you can. Easybib will then create the citation for you.

6 What else can I do? Sometimes, you can email an article to yourself and include the citation. Copy the citation from your email

7 What about resources that aren’t online? Choose the “ Citations Guide ” tab on Easybib. Choose MLA Choose the resource type you are using and it will provide you with instructions.

8 Book Example Use the instructions to help create your citation. Last, First M. Title. City;Publisher, Year published. Print.

9 Citing a Person Use the following format: –Last name, First name. Personal Interview. Date. For example, if you interviewed the librarian: Johnson, Bobbie. Personal Interview. 12 Oct. 2012.
