2 What is an action verb? Definition:
An action verb is a verb that shows the performance of an action. An action verb ( event verb ) is a verb that describes a happening that occures in a limited time and has a beginning and an end. . LAY SENGHOR

3 What is a non-action verb?
Definition: A non-action is a kind of verbs that can not be used in the progressive tenses. Non-action verbs indicate state, sense, desire, possession or opinion. LAY SENGHOR

4 What is a causative verb?
Definition: A causative verb is a verb which expresses the idea that the person wants something to be done for him/ her. Ex- My hair was cut. ( passive ) Ex- I had my hair cut. ( causative verb ) LAY SENGHOR

5 What is an empty verb? Definition:
An empty / suport/ light/ delexical verb is a common verb that is used before a noun and it is empty of its own meaning. cause get give do bring go have hold take keep set make LAY SENGHOR

6 What is an eargative verb?
Definition: An eargative verb is a verb that affects the subject in the sentences. An eargative verb is an intransitive verb with passive meaning that alternates with transitive verb with active meaning. Ex- The butter melted. Ex- The sun melted the butter. LAY SENGHOR

Definition: An ambitransitive verb is a verb that can be used both as intransitive or as transitive verb without requiring a morphological change. That is, the same verb form may or may not requir a direct object. LAY SENGHOR

Definition: A concatenated verb is the use of two adjacent verbs in the sentence. Neither verb is auxiliary verb. Ex- I stopped worrying about little thing. Ex- He went to water the horse. LAY SENGHOR

12 What is a complex transitive verb?
Definition: A complex transitive verb is a verb that takes a direct object plus an object complement. LAY SENGHOR
