During today’s lesson we have explored some issues that don’t show humans at their best. It’s important to remember though that MOST people are TOLERANT instead of intolerant and MOST people do lots of GOOD THINGS. Make sure you’re one of these! Remember the story of Les trois boucs bourrus? Clue 2: In English, the meaning of ‘haine’ also starts with the letters ha... Clue 3: Juifs, chrétiens, musulmans...these are types of religions and all of the English words begin with the same letter. Clue 4: L’intolérance, racisme, immigrés, l’intolérance religieuse, l’intolérance raciale, xénophobie, l’antisémitisme: these words are cognates – they look, sound and mean the same in English.
