2 I am a PDHPE advocate! The teaching and learning of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education in Primary Schools is extremely important. PDHPE “is directly concerned with supporting the development of the student as a whole person”. (PDHPE K-6 Syllabus, 2007)

4 PDHPE Strands include: Growth and Development Games and Sport Safe Living Personal Health Choices Active Lifestyle Dance Gymnastics

5 My view as a teacher… PDHPE allows students to learn, develop and grow inside and outside the classroom. Life skills are learnt in this subject which prepare students for their future. PDHPE is an enjoyable subject in which we can combine learning and having fun!
