1 Using the Tools of Today’s Generation for Institutional Asset Management Crain Capital Management

2 A New Era in Investment Management Our Belief – buy and hold simply will not outperform the market. In order to add Alpha an advisor must be more proactive. We Deliver - CCM provides prudently managed portfolios using exclusively Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) with an emphasis on capital preservation. Your Partner – CCM partners with advisors to find the right solution for your clients.

3 CCM – Investment Management Top Down Approach 1)First we evaluate the overall market using macro economic indicators to determine whether the general market trend is positive or negative 2)During positive market trends CCM takes long positions in ETFs with downside protection in the form of trailing stop loss orders 3)During negative market trends CCM will employ defensive wealth preservation techniques including; protective put options, tighter stop losses, or purchasing defensive asset classes, money market &/or T- Bills 4)CCM uses approximately 14 different technical screens to identify those sectors or asset classes poised for outperformance 5)Once the sector(s) or asset class(es) is identified several alternative investments are compared to determine best of fit.

4 CCM – Emphasis on Downside Risk Emphasis is placed on downside risk and the protection of portfolio capital. Using institutional style stop-loss market orders along with put & call options, when appropriate, CCM can offer protection of a portfolio’s asset base. A founding principal of CCM states that effective safeguarding of capital is an integral part of effective capital management.
