3. Describe your enigma. The Marry Celeste Mystery is that kind of mystery that can have lots of conclusions. It’s a very murky, misleading, and difficult mystery. Nobody knows anything about it………

4. Who discovered this enigma? When? David Morehouse, captain of the “Dei Grantia” discovered it on December 4, 1872.

5. How long have people known about it? About 150 years.

6. What have scientists found out about the enigma? They found out the major factors in the mystery of Mary Celeste………….. 1} The ship was abandoned quickly 2} They left in the lifeboat 3} They took navigation equipment and the ship’s papers with them.

7. Are the scientist’s viewpoints the same? If not how are they different? No, there are several different viewpoints. Some scientists say there was a mass murder but there was only one spot of blood, and some just make up opinions like they abandoned ship but the boat was in seaworthy conditions, and some sea monsters or pirates attacked them. They argue because there isn’t a lot of clues which results in different opinions in what happened.

8. What dilemmas or controversies are involved in this enigma? All theories are argued upon because there are not enough clues to find out exactly what happened. Some theories are just straight up ridiculous!!!!!!

9. How has the understanding of the enigma changed overtime? Now days people just say more straight up, plain stories like that some of the men probably obtained access to the cargo, and were thus stimulated to the desperate deed which is more “ it was no coincidence” theories then back then.

List 5 different facts about your enigma. 1}The ship was once named “Amazon” and had several accidents 2} Sir Anthony Conan Doyle wrote a fictional account that made the mystery infamous in maritime history. 3} When found the Mary Celeste was found in seaworthy or good conditions. 4} It looked like the people was stopped in the middle of what they were doing. David Morehouse {the founder of “Mary Celeste”} was accused of some people that he killed everybody and took the compass and the ship’s papers.

11. Come up with your own theory of how this enigma happened. I think some of the crew members got drunk, then when everybody was at the table eating they forced them on to the life boat. From there they started starving then killed themselves from suffering from starvation.
