5. Ongoing service opportunities are posted on the Campus Ministry board. If you plan to attend a service event, you must first sign up.

6. On Thursday, September 25th, will be the first official meeting of the Oakland Catholic Science Fiction and Fantasy club! We will be meeting in 213 in Mrs. Day's room. New members and old are welcome!

7. Global Awareness Club First Global Awareness Club meeting of the year will be on Thursday, September 25 th in room 201 There will be brownies

8. The Shakespeare Club will meet for the first time this Thursday, immediately after school in Mrs. Rinkacs’ Room - J303. Exciting plans for the coming year will be announced. If you are interested but cannot make the meeting, please see Mrs. Rinkacs for more information.

9. The first MAPS meeting will be held on Thursday, September 25th after school in the study area. Invitations for new members will be received today, Tuesday, September 23rd during homeroom.

11. Picture re-takes will be taken on Tuesday, October 14th outside the Donahue Pavilion beginning at 8:00am. Students must sign up in the Main Office by Thursday, October 9th. A flyer with the picture package pricing information is available in the Main Office. If you are having your pictures re-taken, you must return your complete picture package that day. Students who transferred or were absent on the original picture day (August 28 th ) should sign up. If you are purchasing your pictures, you must bring your payment (exact cash or a check made payable to Lifetouch) with you at the time your picture is taken.

14. Reminder to all Juniors and Seniors interested in being Kairos Leaders, applications are due this Friday, September 26th.

Freshmen Gracie Kennedy and her Girl Scout Troop are making news for their efforts to welcome the immigrating children from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador that will be staying at the Holy Family Institute. Gracie has dedicated over 50 hours to the project, preparing and gathering games, clothing, books and English-learning tools for the kids. Congratulations to Gracie!

16. Come Support and Cheer on the OC Soccer Team on Monday September 29 @ Highmark Stadium as they take on Allderdice at 7:00pm. It is Senior Night!! Tickets are available for purchase in the Main Office they are $10.00 a ticket. OC gets a portion of the ticket sales so purchase your tickets at school. GO SENIORS and GO EAGLES!!!!
