9 VirtuCo v©v© 27.2.2004 :: Service provider earning logics :: Charging units Game (or other application) licenses –Server (user profile) keeps a list of user’s licenses –When user buys an application, he is allowed to download the binary and server adds the license to user’s profile –User can re-download the application when necessary, but each running instance requires its own license (checked by the server) Pay per usage –Each service session (e.g. played game) costs a relatively small amount of money
