INTRODUCTION Solar power systems are a great way to reduce OUR energy cost. Solar energy is abundant in the inner solar system, collecting enough of it to provide electricity for a large population of humans Studies of large-scale solar power generation in space were conducted over two decades ago

Gujarat government has signed a MoU with Clinton Foundation to build the world’s largest (3,000 MW) solar-power plant in the region. 35,000 sq. km. area of Thar Desert has been set aside for solar power projects. Moser Baer India is developing a 1 MW solar power project in Chandrapur district. The IIT Kanpur has planned to set up a 550 kilowatt in its campus which provide uninterrupted free power supply to six neighboring villages.
