CONTENT  INTRODUCTION TO SOLAR POWER  SOLAR CELL  WORKING  TYPES OF SOLAR CELL  CPV CELL SYSTEM  SOLER ENERGY IN INDIA  APPLICATIONS

INTRODUCTION  Solar power systems are a great way to reduce OUR energy cost.  Solar energy is abundant in the inner solar system, collecting enough of it to provide electricity for a large population of humans  Studies of large-scale solar power generation in space were conducted over two decades ago

SOLAR CELL  IT IS A DEVICE WHICH CONVERTES THE LIGHT ENERGY INTO ELECTRIC ENERGY BY USING PHOTOVOLTIC EFFECT.

WORKING  Photo generation of charge carriers  Separation of charge carriers  P-n Junction  Connection to external load

WORKING

SolFocus CPV Systems  CPV Power unit  CPV Panel  Duel axis tracker

CPV TYEPS

CPV SOLAR PLANT LAYOUT

Advantages of CPV cell  Efficiency =38-47%  Cost is less  Area required is less 70-90 kw from 1 km square
