2  Software Engineer: Software engineering is designing, developing or fixing software programs.  I would like to be a software engineer because I have learned some of the coding language, Python, and I’m really interested in coding.  Chemical Engineer: Chemical engineering is using psychical and life sciences with math to make, transform or transport chemicals.  I’m interested in being a chemical engineer because I would like to work with chemicals. It seems like a dangerous job, but I like to make things.

3  Software Engineer  Software Engineers make an average of $90,000 a year.  A Software Engineer has to design and develop software programs.  Being a Software Engineer requires you to work with data.  The work environment is generally an office or computer laboratory.  Most Software Engineer jobs are at least 40 hours a week and jobs that take place in the day.  To be a Software Engineer it requires at least a bachelors degree in software engineering or a related field.  The outlook of Software Engineers is that that amount of Software Engineers is expected to grow dramatically.  You must have good knowledge in psychics and calculus.  You have to be able to learn new things quickly, like new programs or coding languages.  Software Engineers have values such as loving to code, getting things done and being able to code in any language.  Software Engineers also need to be adaptable to things, team building and being technical.

4  Chemical Engineer  Chemical engineers have to make chemicals and develop the process’ of making them.  They have to work with data, such as specific measurements of one chemical to add to another, and things, such as the actual chemicals.  The work environment is usually a laboratory or universities to conduct research.  Standard work hours for a Chemical Engineer start between 8 and 9 am with an average of 40 hours a week.  Chemical Engineers need to be creative, good problem solvers, leaders and organized.  The job outlook on Chemical Engineering is below average on how much the jobs are needed. The demand for jobs is based on how much the demand for chemical type products are.  Chemical engineer is also migrating into different fields such as nanotechnology and biotechnology. This would help sustain the demand for engineering in many types of manufacturing industries.  The average amount earned a year by a Chemical Engineer is $90,000.  To be a Chemical Engineer it requires a bachelors degree and good knowledge with calculus, trigonometry, algebra and geometry.  Some benefits for Chemical Engineers include health, dental, and vision coverage benefits. As well as life and accident insurances.

5  Software Engineer and Chemical Engineer  Based on the fact that the two of these jobs make an average of $90,000 a year and have a day job, say from 9 – 5. I would be able to live a normal lifestyle being able to buy things when I want to or take good care of my family when I get married.  Software Engineer  I could live anywhere I really wanted to being a Software Engineer. Being a Software Engineer I could work from home or where I ever I feel.  Software Engineer would be in the Information Technology career cluster based on the Succeeding In The World of Work 7 th Edition book.  Chemical Engineer  Chemical Engineering jobs can be found almost anywhere. I could stay in Michigan if I possibly wanted too.  Chemical Engineering would probably go into the Scientific Research and Engineering career cluster because being a Chemical Engineer requires you to do science and being an engineer.
