3 Line Graphs Show relationships between variables You should be able to see trend from graph Use data points to draw line of best fit Determine values of x & y Slope shows relationship/trend slope = change in y change in x

4 Line Graphs Direct relationships = positive slope Indirect relationships = negative slope

5 Line Graphs No relationship = horizontal line (zero slope)

6 Line Graphs Always drawn to largest scale To determine scale: Find range of values and divide by # of lines on graph, round to nearest 0.5
