3 As many as a dozen tornadoes touched down in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area while hundreds of thousands watched the life and death drama unfold on live television.

4 Several hundred homes were destroyed, some within seconds, and 13,000 homes were left without power as a result of wind, rain, and hail, but, incredibly, NO DEATHS AND RELATIVELY FEW INJURIES were reported.
