2016 Health Benefits Information Sessions (10/21/15) MISSION STATEMENT: Grow and develop congregations spiritually, numerically and in missional leadership.

Retiree - Dental Benefits Determining the best level of coverage What is the value of dental insurance to me? Do I even need dental insurance? If so, which plan is best for me? What is the best coverage for my spouse?

Retiree - Dental Benefits Considering Annual Out-of-pocket Dental Costs EXAMPLE: For In- Network, Single Plan, comparing total dental expenses vs. out-of pocket costs for premiums + co-pays

Retiree - Medical Coverage The Church Pension Group (CPG) offers three different plans to eligible retirees, that supplements the primary Medicare coverage: CPG currently pays 100% of the cost of Comprehensive for eligible clergy (20+ years of service), spouses & widows. Previously, the Diocese paid to upgrade these eligible participants to the Plus/Premium Plans. There were no effective subsidies for lay retirees.

Retiree - Medical Benefits 2016 CPG Medicare Supplemental Plans The primary differences between the three CPG plans are:  Annual Maximum Out-Of-Pocket  Copays for specific services (some are higher, some the same)  Cost (Premiums)

Retiree - Medical Benefits Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) Diocese provides benefits for eligible clergy and lay retirees through a Diocesan funded Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) established for each eligible retiree, to help cover out of pocket cost of medical, dental or vision care. Unused funds may be rolled over to the next year. Eligible participants choose the level of insurance coverage that is most appropriate for their individual needs (CPG or local provider plans). Current participants on CPG Plus or Premium Plans may either: Move to the Comprehensive Plan and use their HRA funds to help offset the higher out of pocket costs, OR use the HRA funds to off-set some of the premiums for higher coverage. The HRA Plan will be administered by Lifetime Benefits Solutions, who will provide direct reimbursement to retirees from their HRA funds.

Retiree - Medical Benefits Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) How do I know if I’m eligible? What is the process for getting reimbursed? When will I receive my information packet? What’s the best way to get assistance with questions on claims or submitting claims?

Diocesan Funded HRA Plan (2016): Eligibility: Must be fully retired. Active Employees are not eligible. Medicare Eligible (have attained 65 years of age). 9 Retiree - Medical Coverage Medicare is primary coverage for those over 65 Medicare Supplemental plans are secondary coverage for those that have this benefit Health Reimbursement Accounts are used to off-set some of the remaining out of pocket costs (co-pays, deductibles, etc.) Discretionary funds provide a safety net for hardship situations Eligible retirees will have 3-4 layers of coverage:
