2. Note The attendance to the school is for registered participants only! –Please collect and wear your badge!! The lectures are recorded and made accessible to all, as soon as possible This week the lectures in the council room, as from next Tuesday, in the Main Auditorium –Apart from getting the LHC to work the biggest challenge in this lab is to find rooms

3. The Program …has been given to you during registration Generally has dense mornings with lectures, but less dense afternoon to allow for study/discussion, and organized discussion sessions Also after each lecture there is time foreseen for direct follow up discussion. Coffee breaks are just outside the lecture room

4. The Discussion Sessions These sessions are a very important part in the program!! You can come with your prepared questions/topics for discussion All students are divided into 6 groups. Please go to that group that you are assigned to. –The lists are outside outside this room Two discussion leaders will guide each group through these sessions. Lecturers will visit these sessions during the week Note: for some days the room for your session may be a different one than usual

5. Special items on the program Tuesday 9/6: Boat tour and dinner on the boat –Bus will leave in front of building 33 (reception) at 18:00 sharp –Please assemble there around 17:50 –You have received a invitation in your package If not please contact Patricia this morning!! Saturday 13/6: visit to the CERN/experiments –List to sign up will be provided in the next days Sunday 14/6: free day/trip to Chamonix –Suggestions of activities in Chamonix are available –Bus leaves 9:00 sharp in front of the CERN hostel (B39) Wednesday 17/6: 17:00 Farewell drink in the Main Cafeteria at CERN

6. Practical information Breakfast/lunch/dinner –CERN cafeteria close by the lecture rooms –Open from 7:00 and for dinner till 20:00 Computing –If you have a laptop, fill out the online registration form to get access to the network –If not, you need to register to use a public terminal.
