2 MARKETING TOOLS O Luckily, our target audience is generally 16-30 (young adults). So reaching the audience would be fairl easy as this age group are subject to all kinds of marketing devices daily. As nearly all young adults use social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, it would be possible for use to employ a ‘Viral Marketing’ techniques help the trailer for example, get shared around the internet. This is also a cheap and easy way to gain a market share. Another way could be through ‘push advertisement’. O This age group are young and outgoings so they are likely to be in front of billboards and posters daily in a wide area such as up towns or in shopping centres, and on the roads whilst traveling on the bus or in a car. Other techniques could include media coverage, like during a Film Festival; events that attract attention, or even test screenings in specific cities in the UK.

3 TECHNIQUES O A commonly used technique in cinema and film marketing is the use of actors and actresses which are household names as people like seeing there favourite stars. Young and upcoming actors are also commonly used due to current attention. An examply of the first point could be Leonardo DiCaprio in Shutter Island and Inception as the audience like him and know he is good, so are prepared to pay for the film. O To gain attention, we could glorify our cast by holding sat interviews which could be distributed online via youtube. This way our audience can take a liking to different characters and therefore be made to want to see the film in cinema. Press release is a good way of getting the film out. Other techniques could include media coverage, like during a Film Festival; events that attract attention, or even test screenings in specific cities in the UK.

4 AUDIENCE FEEDBACK Feedback is key to understanding what other think of our OTS and how to improve it. Generally, our feedback from other students was good and positive. Our first piece of feedback said how they like the start with the characters feet being introduced, as it kept the character, Fabian, mysterious and unknown. Another piece of good feedback was about how we had used black and white editing to create the idea of flashbacks, this was useful as we were not entirely sure about how it had panned out to the audience. We also were told that the dog was good, as it was impressive getting an animal to act and play along with the scene. Lastly, our adaption of Arlington Road went down really successfully, everyone liked how we used the same kind of idea.
