5 Synagogue Symbols Take a look at the many icons of Judaism Tadaa!!!!! It’s the star of David on an old synagogue!

6 The Menorah The Menorah is a very important object, especially in celebrations. They use it in Chanukah, Rosh Hashanah ( Jewish new year) and different feasts and festivals. Rosh Hashanah is a happy time of year. With lots of rituals involved.

7 ROSHHASHANAHROSHHASHANAH Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish new year and every Jew can feel the anticipation and excitement for the coming of new life. It usually happens around the end of October but,just like the Christian calendar, it changes every year. But not by much.

8 The Rituals Involved! Mmm doesn’t it look delicious? Anyway, the Jew’s eat apple dipped in honey in hope that the next year will be as sweet as honey.

9 Shofar!!! Also during Rosh Hashanah, the Jew’s listen to somebody playing the Shofar. The Shofar is blown a hundred times and with each blow. The listeners think of something bad they have done in the past year and ask for forgiveness. And the next day, they will listen to the Shofar again, except with each blow they think of something good they’ve done in the past year. ‘tis a genuine Shofar!!
