10 Why do we need to annotate a text? (REVIEW) Expert readers know that deep understanding comes from interacting with a text and from multiple reads *.

11 What does it mean to “annotate” a text? Annotation: - a way of adding notes to a text. The notes assist a reader’s understanding of the text.
