Recommendation Buy a laptop (lots of RAM, 64bit) Install Ubuntu, or BioLinux Force yourself to work on the command-line Get on your institute’s linux servers Get on your institute’s linux clusters Use Google! Set yourself a task and work at it. Do it yourself. Use Google. Only ask for help when really stuck Work at it – the rewards are huge These skills are in huge demand -> jobs, pay rises, promotion, papers etc etc
