4 4 Commissioned by PAMSA and German Technical Co-Operation National Certificate in Paper & Pulp Manufacturing NQF Level 3 Topic Specification: TC302 Perform a personal quality audit Collect Information Use Multi media Self Study Plant investigation Quality standards Interview experts Attend lectures Analyse, plan and make decisions Group Discussions Sketch Summarise List / Tabulate Develop recommendations Execute, test and evaluate Job assignment Make presentation Complete documents Draft a report Complete a questionnaire Learning ActivitiesTopic assessment criteria The assessor will observe and confirm that learners: Understand work and safety related quality standards Are able to implement safety related quality standards Are able to perform work in accordance to quality requirements Are able to determine own non– conformances when measured against appropriate standards Are able to eliminate non-conformances and implement quality methods Assignment Description WHATWHAT HOW Notional Hours 32 A lecture followed by a group exercise where the importance of measurable standards and specifications to ensure quality of safety while at work are discussed. 1.A lecture where quality is defined as conforming to measurable standards. 2.A group discussion trying to define what quality means for each learner, and what the relevant quality standards are that ensure quality of safety while at work 3.Learners make a list of quality requirements, and procedures already in place in their workplace 4.Each of the learners assess themselves against these quality standards, determine non-conformances and make recommendations for conforming to standards 5.The learners present their findings and documentation for discussion and comment 6.The learners would be assessed by an assessor against relevant work standards at the end of the training
