The Theater was called "The laboratory of Sovjet Opera" and quite often in playbills you could see the phrase "The right for first performance belongs to the Theater" through out the years distinguished masters have worked here. Such great singers per Kozlovsky, Lemeshev, Arhipova started their career in Ekaterinburg.

5. These days the Theater continues producing artists. The Theater has now cultures relations with Italy, Germany, USA, England and others. Many famous guest artists perform on its stage. The opera and ballet lovers can also enjoy internationals festivals in the Holl.

6. To date the theater presents varied repertoires that include approximately 40 operas and ballets. The first ballet "The magic Flute" took place in 1914. Since that premiere the ballet troupe of the theater has become one of the best in the country. The ballets repertoire is reach in the names of Russian and European classics: Swan Lake, The sleeping beauty, Nutcracker, Giselle, Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliette.

9. The modern productions have been brought onto life by the most famous choreographers of Russia: Y.Grigorovich, N. Boyarchikov, N. Kasatkina, V. Vasiliov, A. Dementiev and others. The ballet company consists of 70 graduated from the famous choreographic schools in Russia. Most of the soloist are honored artists and many of them are laureates of various choreographic competitions.
