She became a Saint because she devoted her life to God at a very young age.

Her mother died when she was 4 years old
At age 15 she became a nun (a Carmelite sister)
She died of tuberculosis on September 30, 1897

We chose this Saint because she is my favorite Saint and I pray to her every night to help me be a good person, mother, teacher, and friend.
In order to be like St. Therese I should look for little ways that I can be a blessing to others like St. Therese was.
