Objectives and tasks of NGN-WG Objectives Cooperation among CJK to promote and reflect the studies on NGN requirements and solutions to the relevant International NGN standardization activities Tasks Collect and exchange industry/standard information on NGN-related activities of each country Identify key standard areas to provide end-to-end multimedia services over future NGN Pursue maximum commonality of NGN-related standards Go on interconnectivity and interoperability of NGN through interoperability tests among interested parties

3. Working method Working group meeting High level standard direction and selected major technical issues are discussed to promote the CJK collaboration The meeting is expected to be held as much as possible in conjunction with the CJK meeting. Additional WG meetings can be held with permission by the CJK plenary The progress report will be made at the CJK plenary Ad hoc meeting by technical experts Key specific technical issues are discussed among technical experts who participate in the relevant ITU-T meeting The meeting is held in the previous day of each NGN-related ITU-T meeting to share the standards views among the CJK members to lead the discussion Also meet in the middle of each ITU-T NGN-GSI meeting if necessary to resolve any critical issues among CJK

Working method Workshop Key specific technical field,subject or topic are reserved in advanced (Normally the topics will be determined in the NGN Ad-hoc meeting before Workshop) Key specific technical field field,subject or topic are discussed among technical experts who participate in the CJK NGN-WG meeting The workshop is expected to be held as much as possible in conjunction with the CJK NGN-WG meeting Teleconference Key specific technical issues are discussed among technical experts who is involved in the issues in the relevant ITU-T standard activty The CJK NGN-WG management team are responsible for organizing it

Key achievement (1/3) Technical discussion including exploration to new work and collaboration items Next generation service network Unified Communication (UC) IDM Ubiquitous Network Progress on NGN-test bed Based on test-bed schedule, phase 3 and 4 are still going on, thereinto evaluation scenarios, 6-1 to 6-3 have been conducted. Performance of RTCP-XR via MPM under several traffic load has been discussed, and the continuation of the discussion of the performance test is needed. The test of functionally distributed network architecture is being evaluated.

11. Future meeting plan NGN-WG requests to endorse the following meetings. Exact proposal will be made at the closing plenary 16th CJK NGN-WG meeting End of July 2009(China) 17th CJK NGN-WG meeting End of November 2009(Korea) Ad hoc meetings will be held by the decision at WG level

12. Conclusions NGN-WG members contribute to the NGN and IPTV global standards activities in GSIs, SG11, and SG13 meetings of ITU-T and play a key role NGN-WG progress its work on establishing ITU-T standards and proceeding with CJK test bed NGN-WG is considering future NGN-WG meeting plans before the next CJK plenary.
