9. The Bible is not an “object” for us to study but a partner with whom we may dialogue. It is usual in our modern world to regard any “thing” as an object which will yield its secrets to us if we are diligent and discerning. We must give up the notion of the Bible as a “book” to be acted upon, analyzed, studied, and interpreted. Instead it is something alive and surging among us. Walter Brueggemann

10. How did Jesus viewed Scripture?  Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.” Matthew 22.29  “... you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.” Matthew 15.6  “Scripture cannot be broken.” John 10.35
