3 Endangered Species Are polar bears endangered? – Artic Scientist believe that polar bears are endangered in the artics. They are believed to be endangered because of the climate change in the artics.

4 Characteristics Size “The polar bear is the largest land carnivore.” Male polar bears are about three times the size of females. – Males “boars weigh (772-1,433 lb.)” “Length: (8.2-9.8 ft.) long.” – Females “Sows weigh (331-551 lb.)” “Length: (6.0-8.2 ft.)” “Pregnant bears weigh about (1,102 lb.)”

5 Characteristics (Cont.) Body shape – Slender bodies compared to bears – Long necks and heads Coloration – their fur color will vary Limbs – Longer back legs than front legs – Five-toed paws – Webbed front feet and elongated hind feet
