Integration made simple. CAN DO IT ALL

4 N-TEC Access Control, the way forward? SATEONTM
Can Do It All… N-TEC Access Control, the way forward? SATEONTM Simplex Conference – Dalaman 2010

5 N-TEC Update Last year we spoke about the road map for the N-TEC SATEON product stream and what features and benefits it would offer I am pleased to say that after an initial delay N-TEC/SATEON is now on target Over the last 12 months we have been working incredibly hard on both our core Hardware and Software solution, as you will see shortly We have employed more developers to ensure we can deliver a state of the art product combining the latest technology and ‘Apple’ like simplicity and design From valuable customer feedback we are radically altering our N-TEC hardware solution to best cater for your markets SATEON is a huge development for Grosvenor, with state of the art technology/design coming together in a market leading product.

6 The Dilemma……… What is the basic question security developers continually wrestle with? Where is the line between low-end and high-end Access Control systems? The two have never really come together!! Your typical development company is either successful in one area or the other BUT RARLEY IN BOTH!?!? Ask first question to the audience? Do not expect to get a response, target Mothanna to get some banter going.

7 N-TEC SATEON Access N-TEC SATEON is a two pronged development stream
We can address both the major issues; The high volume, low-end market The low volume, high-end market Today’s low-end systems are manufactured to a price And high-end systems demand features and controls that low-end, cost saving solutions, will never be able to achieve.

8 N-TEC SATEON Access So that we don’t have to force ‘commercial limitations’ into the SATEON software, or Produce another common controller that we de-populate for the lower end systems We are manufacturing two different controllers, both of which will be developed to their maximum potential for the given market WHILE BOTH USING THE SAME SATEON SOFTWARE! Ask first question to the audience? Do not expect to get a response, target Mothanna to get some banter going.

9 SATEON Hardware So what prompted this change in strategy?
Cost Valuable customer feedback What happens to the N-TEC you all know and love? We are committed to manufacturing/supporting our existing controllers They will not be phased out! What prompted the change in strategy? Why come away from the single IDC solution? Cost, the main board is to expensive for the Simplex Market place. Shows we are listening to our customers and designing products they are asking for.

10 N-TEC SATEON By having two market leading boards we will be able to manage our costs enabling N-TEC SATEON to be competitive across all market segments There are always some trade-offs when you get better pricing; Compatibility with our other systems Although the SATEON software will work with all of the different flavour boards it will not work with all at once

11 N-TEC SATEON N-TEC SATEON software will work with the following version; The old N-TEC boards (IDC Issue 10, IDCe, IPC and IPCe) The new low-end boards The new high-end boards But only one version per system You cannot mix and match This allows you to target the different market segments

12 N-TEC SATEON Hardware – Low-end
Can Do It All… N-TEC SATEON Hardware – Low-end

13 NEW Low-End SATEON Hardware
Our existing controller board is being re-engineered to fit the same footprint as an Ethernet Line Header!!! There will be 1 x fire alarm input and no outputs The board will be RS-485 (2-wire unscreened cable) Ethernet will be supported with ELH board Terminals will be screw fix, no expensive connectors No memory expansion cards in each controller A pulse stretcher will not be required for wiegand readers

14 Low-End SATEON Hardware
The IPC will be re-engineered into a 4 input, 4 output board and to fit the same ELH footprint The IPC will also be RS-485 (2-wire) only The only socketed chip on both boards will be the licensing chip All boards will be designed to accept third party 12V power supplies All boards will be certificated to be installed in user-supplied enclosures

15 Low-End SATEON Hardware
The IDC’s lock outputs will be volt-free changeover contacts, rated at 3Amps A single enclosure will accept multiple boards whether it be the IDC, IPC or Ethernet Line Header. The new boards are based on the successful IDC Issue 10 board which has proven to be a bullet proof solution This keeps your install costs as low as possible! The new low-end IDC and IPC will be available in Q

16 High-End SATEON Hardware
This is an all new Controller based on our very successful ‘IT’ data collection terminals It is based around a proven solid Linux core Python will be used to allow bespoke applications to run on the controllers Network Communication only Peer to Peer comms Will work on PoE (Power over Ethernet)

17 High-End SATEON Hardware
These boards are specifically designed for high-end sophisticated systems like airports, hospitals, pharmaceutical... Where complex customisation is required On board SQL Lite USB Storage for almost limitless on board storage capacity Predications are showing the cost will be extremely competitive!

18 iSecure Enclosure Options as installed
Can Do It All… iSecure Enclosure Options as installed

19 6 Way iSecure Chassis Fits Directly into existing iSecure Cabinet
Houses up to 6 N-TEC Controllers Intelligent Door Controller - IDC/IDCe Intelligent Peripheral Controller - IPC/IPCe Can mount a Site Controller (Takes 2 bays) – Which I shall cover shortly DIN Rail for mounting IP Switch or PSU Make note that this was an actual install and Audi Bank.

20 Simplex Access Control
Can Do It All… Simplex Access Control Suite of prodcuts

21 Simplex Access Control Suite
An array of hardware options available Existing N-TEC hardware (Old N-TEC software or upgrade to N-TEC/SATEON Software) New Low-end hardware for SATEON (New N-TEC/SATEON software only) High-end hardware for SATEON (New N-TEC/SATEON software only) The cost is key and the line up we are working on will allow you to take N-TEC/SATEON into any market place Make note that this was an actual install and Audi Bank. Need to add in Time scales chart

22 Can Do It All… SATEON Software

23 N-TEC SATEON Software Brand new solution from the ground up
We have taken the best, most powerful aspects of N-TEC Enterprise solution The entire N-TEC SATEON suite is web based using the latest Silverlight technology Pages do not show differently, unlike html formatting, N-TEC SATEON will not differ from browser to browser. Supported by all the major Internet browsers Powered on SQL Server and Windows Server architecture for unlimited scalability Full multilingual support On the fly switching on Languages Make note that this was an actual install and Audi Bank. Need to add in Time scales chart

24 N-TEC SATEON Software For the low-end market N-TEC SATEON can be installed on a Windows foundation server, which is roughly the same cost as Windows 7 Enterprise/Business. For the high-end market N-TEC SATEON can make use to multi tier environments. This gives unrivalled reliability Designed for a Hosted/Cloud Environment such as Amazon EC2 Make note that this was an actual install and Audi Bank. Need to add in Time scales chart

25 N-TEC SATEON Pre-release is going to be shown at Intersec in Dubai 2011 First release of SATEON to the Simplex Market May/June 2011 (exact dates to be confirmed shortly) Second release of SATEON to be November 2011 Release 1 will include all the functionality and features present in the core N-TEC software Release 2 will include; CCTV integration - Probably IndigoVision and Vicon 4100U Fire Interface / an analytics engine / the list goes on… …..lets see the software…… COMMENT that this is from an alpha release
