Music videos are often playing a huge part in wether a song is successful, the more ways a music video is distributed the better chance it has of doing well. There are a number of ways in which music videos are distributed these include... TV (MTV, VH1) Internet (Youtube, Myspace) Itunes DVD

12 Influences After looking at a variety of music videos I feel that there are a ways that they could influence me. I have seen that most videos keeps the actions to the beat of the music and try to portray the real meaning of the song and lyrics. I will consider this when creating my music video. I have looked at Usher as an influence, his video ‘More’ is upbeat and contains a lot of quick paced shots keeping in time with the beat of the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-dvTjK_07c&feature=related Ne-yo is another artist i have looked at, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6M5C-oKw9k&ob=av2e in his videos he often starts the video off with a scene which is an idea that i have for my music video, i think this is good as it adds to an introduction to the video. He also uses a lot of low key lighting in some parts of the video which i also think is good as it sets up an atmosphere which matches with the song.videos he often starts the video off with a scene
