How to Bubble Presented by ESOL and Math Departments of Lake Worth High. Some material from FCAT Gridding by Tiana Dupont, Jean Giarrusso, and Ken Caplin D C B A

For multiple choice, choose the letter for your answer, then completely fill in the circle with that letter ADCB If answer is C, fill in the circle

Do NOT use any other marks to indicate your answer ADC √ Check marks can not be used. B

Do NOT use any other marks to indicate your answer ADC X “X” can not be used. B

Do NOT use any other marks to indicate your answer ADC Do not partially fill in circle. B

Do NOT use any other marks to indicate your answer ADC Do not circle your answer. B

Do NOT use any other marks to indicate your answer ADC No circles. B No checkmarks √ No “X” X No partial filling

Only bubble one circle for each answer. ADCB

FCAT Grids Completely bubble in the circle of the digit. No checkmarks No “X” No partial filling No circles around answers Rules for Math Grids are similar to Multiple Choice

Answer boxes Fraction bar Decimal point Number bubbles

How to Complete the Response Grids 1.Write your answer in the answer boxes at the top of the grid. Print your answer with the first digit in the left answer box. Do NOT leave a blank answer box in the middle of an answer. Be sure to write a decimal point or fraction bar in the answer box if it is a part of the answer.

How to Complete the Response Grids 2.Fill in a bubble under each box in which you wrote your answer. Fill in one and ONLY one bubble for each box. Do NOT fill in a bubble under an unused box. Fill each bubble by making a solid black mark that completely fills the circle. You MUST fill in the bubbles accurately to receive credit for your answer.

Any Questions ask your Math Teacher  fractions are incorrectly written in boxes  Two or more filled number bubbles in the same column  Adding signs in or around edge of grid Most common errors
