Snapshots This summer I went to the pool with my friends to swim. When I got there I dove into the water. Then I played Marco Polo with my friends in the pool for a long time. It was fun playing Marco Polo. I tried my hardest not to get caught by the person who was it. After we played Marco Polo we decided to dive off the high dive It took a lot of my nerve, but I did it. My dive was pretty good too. I can’t wait to go to the pool again next summer with my friends.

Thoughtshots

Thoughtshots “Just as writers make physical snapshots, they can also take a snapshot of the thoughts in their characters’ heads, or in their own mind…,

Thoughtshots A thoughtshot in fiction is simply a look at what a character is thinking and feeling…

Thoughtshots Similarly, in a personal narrative a thoughtshot is reflections, thoughts, feelings, opinions of the author.” When creating a thoughtshot, start the thought with beginnings like “I knew…” or “I thought to myself…”
