Overview Estate Owned by: Vittorio Fiore Wine Region: Emilia-Romagna Winemaker: Vittorio Fiore Total Acreage Under Vine: 30 Estate Founded: 1974 Winery Production: 80,000 Bottles

Location Castelluccio is a small property located on the Romagna side of the Appennines, an area that belonged to Tuscany until 1930. Located between Faenza and Forlí, at an altitude ranging from 750 to 1500 feet.

Location The unique characteristics of this region (steep hills called “ronchi” with marly soils, loam) produce a perfumed and aromatic Sangiovese, fruity and elegant, quite different from any other in Italy.

History Castelluccio was originally founded in the 1970’s with the vineyards under the care of Dr. Remigio Bordini. In the early 1980’s Vittorio Fiore became the consulting winemaker and in 1999 the Fiore family purchased the majority of shares in the property. Vittorio is now running the Estate with his son Alessandro.

The Estate Castelluccio total extension is about 150 acres with 36 acres of vineyards, 6 acres of olive groves, and 64 acres of woods/sowable land/buildings/estate roads. Three grape varieties are mostly grown in Castelluccio: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.

Key Selling Points 1.A unique example of Sangiovese, elegant, aromatic and perfumed 2.The counterpart of Poggio Scalette’s Il Carbonaione: Castelluccio’s Sangiovese is more elegant and aromatic 3.A leader in high quality Sangiovese in this Region 4.Ideal tasting profile: juicy, fruity with subtle acidity and soft tannins. Different from Tuscany’s style

Le More Sangiovese di Romagna DOC 100% Sangiovese "Le More" refers to the blackberry character of this deep and lively Sangiovese di Romagna. Notes of blackberries, raspberries and other red fruits. The wine is well structured with good acidity and a pleasantly lingering finish. Pair with many types of dishes including sauced poultry and grilled red meats.

Ronco dei Ciliegi IGT 100% Sangiovese The name "Ronco dei Ciliegi" means "Vineyard of the Cherry Trees" - a nod to the two large, old cherry trees found by the vineyard. Notes of cherries and juniper flowers. On the palate, the wine is rich and spicy with a long finish. Pair with roasted red meats, poultry and game.
