5.  Edvard Munch, painter of “The Scream”, was noted as one of the greatest influences on expressionist art in Germany.  Munch's convulsed and tortuous art was formed by the misery and conflicts of his time, and, even more important, by his own unhappy life Edvard Munchs Vampire (1893)
