2. Network is. A computer network is a group of computers and devices connected by communication channels.The 3 types of network are LAN, Wan, Man.

3. Network advantage Share information – Networks allows authorized user to share data and information stored on other computers of the network. Share hardware and software – Computers connected to a network can share equipment like printers, modems etc. They also can share software. This helps to avoid high duplication costs. Share internet: Networks can share a single Internet connection. This facilitates communication. People can communicate efficiently and easily via e-mail, instant messages, chat rooms, and videoconferencing.

4. LAN LOCAL AREA NETWORK A computer network that physically links two or more computers within a geographic limited area such as a building. The linked computers are called workstations.

5. WAN WIDE AREA NETWORKS (WAN) Wide Area Networks (WANs) connect larger geographic areas, such as countries.

6. MAN METROPOLITAN AREA NETWORKS (MAN) A Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) covers larger geographic areas, such as cities.
