5 1. THE WORLD IS IN DARKNESS Acts 26:14-18 a.Saul was in darkness and the Lord revealed Himself in a GREAT light. Verse 18 b.Who is the next Paul? c.Maybe they need food? d.Maybe they need something to drink? e.Maybe they need clothes? f.The next Paul may very well be in prison. g.Why does your class need a mission project? 10 2. THE WORLD NEEDS LIGHT John 1:4-5 a.Jesus came to be light to people in darkness. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. John 1:4-5 b.The world was born into the darkness of original sin. Romans 5:15-19 c.The world can’t see Jesus for the darkness of sin. II Corinthians 4:3-6 d.A mission project directed by the Holy Spirit may be the source that lifts the veil of darkness on a lost person in your community. a.Jesus came to be light to people in darkness. You can enter a dark world to meet a physical, emotional and ultimately spiritual need. c.The light of Christ through a believer who is serving his or her community will give light to all who are in the house. d.Let the Light of Christ that is in you shine before men. Verse 16 e.Allow the dark world to see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.
