3 Nouns Singular  one – one, a – Ending not changed Plural  more than one – Add -s to most nouns – Add –es to nouns ending in ch, sh, s, ss, or x – Add –ies to nouns that end in a consonant followed by a y

4 Identify the Nouns! The girl gave the monks two stones. There were many mushrooms in the soup. Three monks slept in the village. They knocked on the door, but the children inside were quiet.
