4. © 2011 wheresjenny.com FACTS Some Facts About Black Eyed Peas  The Black Eyed Peas is an American hip hop group. The group mainly comprises rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo, and singer Fergie. Originally it was a hip hop group, they have added pop and dances.  The Black Eyed Peas date back to 1988, when eighth-grader William Adams (will.i.am) and Allan Pineda (apl.de.ap) met and began rapping and performing together around Los Angeles.  They were originally named ATBAN clan. In 1995, the third member Taboo (Jaime Gomez) joined the group and it was renamed to Black Eyed Peas.  They released their first album, Behind the Front in 1998.  Their third album Elephunk began development on November 2, 2001. It featured the vocals of current member Fergie and released in 2003.
