3 3 3 FACTS Facts can be observed, checked or tested. You can prove a fact is true or correct. To find out if a statement is a fact, ask yourself, “Can this statement be proven?” Fifth Grade

4 4 4 OPINIONS Opinions express someone’s thoughts, feelings, or beliefs. To find out if a statement is an opinion, ask yourself, “Does this statement tell what someone thinks or feels?” You may agree or disagree with an opinion, but it cannot be proven. Fifth Grade
