2 College of Education Assessment System University Mission NCATE/CTC Common Standards for Teachers and Other School Professionals: ● Content Knowledge ● Professional Knowledge and Skills ● Dispositions ● Pupil Learning ● Diversity Depts. collect data that can be aggregated and used to show growth in knowledge, skills, and dispositions across transition points: ● Entry to program ● Prior to entering fieldwork ● Exiting fieldwork ● Program completion Other professional accreditation agency standards (e.g. School Nurse, Communicative Disorders, School Counseling, School Psychology) DATA WAREHOUSE Holds data for all candidates in the College of Education and unit: ● In full use since 2007 ● Access to data for review limited to chairs and dept. staff. Access for analysis limited to College Assessment Coordinator. ● Repository for data from SOLAR, DARS, and department data files.. MDCOE Conceptual Framework MDCOE UNIT PROGRAMS Mission, framework, standards undergird program design, implementation, assessment. Assessments conducted electronically and fed into data warehouse. Departments receive reports from Data Warehouse; program faculty review and use the data for program modification.

6 Data Content Departments collect fieldwork, disposition, or other measures electronically. Assessment Coordinator accesses other candidate data (e.g. demographics, test scores) from other university sources such as Institutional Research or SOLAR, creates tables and sends these to departments.
