2.  He was born on December 23, 1948 (age 63) in Johnstown, PA  He attended Bishop McCort  He continued his education at Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Virginia for a post-graduate season

3.  He played college football at Penn State  He started his sophomore year  Awarded All-American his senior year

4.  Drafted by the Steelers in the second round in 1971  Started his rookie year  He was first team all-pro 6 times  Made 8 pro bowls  He won 4 superbowls with the Steelers

5.  Retired in 1982  He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1988  Inducted into the college Hall of Fame in 1990  He was a radio broadcaster for awhile for ESPN  Married to Joanne Ham and they have no children
