Texas Afterschool Centers on Education™ –Administered by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) –Funded by 21 st Century Community Learning Centers Program administered by the US Department of Education Safe, structured, supervised place for learning Provides extended learning opportunities –for children and families in need Offers innovative, hands-on activities based on the Four-Component Activity Guide Reinforces regular academic programs

3 What Does ACE Offer Students? Science & technology education Mentoring programs Enrichment programs Character education Drug-/violence-prevention Community service And more… Activities and programs are customized by each center and may vary accordingly.

4 What Does ACE Offer Parents? English language classes Parenting Classes Health and fitness Computer literacy Resume assistance Time management training And more… Activities and programs are customized by each center and may vary accordingly.

5 What are the Benefits of ACE?
