1 CSA Revision Session Introduction to the exam Exam length is 2 hours You will have a total of 120 minutes to: read the questions, choose which ones to answer, think about the answers, write answers, check that you have answered the question, re-read your answers. You will have about 100 minutes writing

2 CSA Revision Session Introduction to the exam First section: Choose 3 questions from 4 Each question worth 20% Each question therefore 20 minutes long Questions vary in structure Sections (a), (b), (c)... Discuss a topic (essay style) All require critical comments, examples, reasoning

3 CSA Revision Session Introduction to the exam Second section: Answer 4 questions from 6 Each question worth 10%, thus 10 minutes Questions are multiple choice But usually give a list of statements and you have to choose which ones are true and which are false Example questions on following slides

9 CSA Revision Session Slide 9 Version 27/11/2015 Test technique Try and structure your answer Make your writing as legible as possible Use headings if necessary Diagrams are great but annotate them to explain what we are looking at Give each question the same amount of time but if a sub-part of a question has more marks than the other part – give that more time
