3 3 The Mission of a Toastmasters Club Is to provide …  A Mutually Supportive and Positive Learning environment  Every member has the opportunity  To develop communication and leadership skills Foster self-confidence and personal growth

4 4 Five Steps to Success  Have a Vision  Set Goals Build / Motivate a Team  Monitor Progress  Achieve

5 5 Vision  Leaders imagine  What they would like to happen In the future

6 6 Goals  Leaders identify specific goals that must be achieved to make the vision a reality

7 7 A Goal is …  Specific  Measurable  Action-oriented  Realistic  Time-bounded

8 8 Achieve  Follow the first four steps and achievement naturally happens

9 9 Build and Motivate a Team  People must want to make the vision and goals a reality

10 10 Monitor Progress  Track progress Revise plans and goals as necessary

11 11 The Club Success Plan  Help determine how to meet 10 important goals  Allows club to set own goals  Outlines strategies  Identifies resources

12 12 Club Officers Should  Study and use plan to set goals / timetables  Form committees  Periodically review goals / timetables  Compare accomplishments with reports

13 13 10 Goals 1. Two CCs 2. Two more CCs 3. One ACB,ACS or ACG 4. One more ACB, ACS or ACG 5. One CL,ALB, ALS or DTM 6. One more CL,ALB, ALS or DTM 7. Four new members 8. Four more new members 9. Minimum four officers trained each training period 10. One dues renewal and new officer list submitted on time (by June)

14 14 Membership requirements At year-end a club must have  At least 20 members, or  Net growth of at least 5 new members
