In this PowerPoint, we are looking at different impacts of weather that are coming in these next few weeks. We’ll be exploring how the school will cope in the extreme conditions. There are many elements in our school life that we’ll have to change. The school have many detailed plans of what we will do when the worst comes to the worst. All the plans are in different locations, because you never know what part of the school maybe affected, therefore, unreachable. There are only there copies in total of the master plan.

Impacts Roads will be blocked by fallen down trees and closed The cable lines will be pulled down by the trees. There could even be fires. The trees could even crush or cause damage buildings, If they were heavy enough. What will we do? Students and staff may have to move trees out of the way. Some people wont be able to live in their house for a while. People would have to avoid the cable lines because they may be dangerous.

Impacts No deliveries, so we will no food to eat when are 2 two day supply run out. We will run of fresh food such as fruit and veg. Our supply will run out quickly. What will we do? We will have to start using up the dry food when all our fresh food has gone. We may have to be rationed to make our supply last longer. We might even have to share our tuck!!

Impacts No lights! it will be dark and scary! No heating!!! We will get really cold What will we do? We will have to use the diesel sparingly, this means this means we will have to cut down on our use of electricity. We will have to wear warmer clothes which our school uniform may be edited. We will try and get torches and candles to produce light. We need to use the day light to our advantage. No back up electricity because the diesel has run out for the generator.

Impacts No showers so people will get smelly and the school will lose reputation. No drinking water so lots of people will get dehydrated. Burst pipes, that will stop running water. What will we do? If it is a main stream pipe that has burst so is constantly running, we will have cut off all of the water supplies everywhere in the school. We will have to find a way of melting the snow so we can drink it. we will then have to then use the water we made and heat it to fill a bath, which the water will then have to be shared throughout the houses.

Impacts Cannot call for help, whether it is the emergency services or the trees surgeons. No email, or anything to do with computing, which means no IT lessons What will we do? We will have to write letters if the postal service is available. We may have send messages by word of mouth. We will have to do things the old fashioned ways!!! No phoning home so your parents would start to worry.

Impacts The medical will become jam packed with lots of sick and injured students and even staff. People may be getting colds and coughs. People may slip on ice and could break or seriously injure themselves. What will we do? The Medical Centre will have to expand throughout the school. We will have to put gritting (salt) on the roads and pathways. We will have to try and find a way of stopping colds spreading e.g. we might have to cover our mouths.
